während aktuell unser traditionelles Moselturnier läuft, endete die Interclub Saison 2023 für unsere 2. Damenmannschaft erst am 17. September mit einem sehr erfreulichem Ergebnis.
Da es im normalen Verlauf der Saison einige Unklarheiten gab, wurde am grünen Tisch entschieden, dass unsere zweite Damenmannschaft doch um den Verbleib in der zweithöchsten Division im Damentennis Luxemburgs spielen darf. Dieses Spiel wurde beim Tabellendritten der dritten Division am 17. September in Bonnevoie ausgetragen.
Unter Teamchef Thomas Fusenig trat die Mannschaft mit Anouk Wagner, Maya Pardee, Dajana Völz, Anne Gloden und Vinita Schlink an. Nach den vier Einzeln stand es 3-1 für den TC Grevenmacher. Maya und Vinita hatten mit dem jeweiligen Sieg das 2-0 vorgelegt (wobei Maya ein starkes drei-Satz-Match mit 6-0 3-6 6-0 gewann), welches Anouk auf 3-0 ausbauen konnte. Dajana unterlag denkbar knapp (6-7 3-6), einer favorisierten Gegnerin. Somit musste noch ein Doppel gewonnen werden, um das Saisonziel zu erreichen. Anouk und Anne spielten im ersten Doppel ein starkes Match gegen das erste favorisierte Doppel aus Bonnevoie und gewannen am Ende 6-4 6-1. Zuvor stellten bereits Maya und Dajana mit ihrem Doppelgewinn im zweiten Doppel den Verbleib in der Nationale II sicher.
Wir gratulieren unseren Team und dem Trainer der Damen 2 zu diesem erfolgreichen Saisonabschluss, die nachdem Aufstieg in die Nationale I der Damen 1 und dem Erreichen des 4. Platzes im Championspoule der Damen 3 in der Nationale III ein sehr erfreuliches Abschneiden unserer Damenmannschaften in der Interclub Saison 2023 abrunden.

While our traditional Mosel tournament is currently running, the 2023 Interclub season ended for our 2nd women's team only on 17 September with a very pleasing result.
As there were some uncertainties during the normal course of the season, it was decided at the green table that our second women's team would be allowed to play for a place in the second highest division in women's tennis in Luxembourg after all. This match was played at the third-placed team in the third division on 17 September in Bonnevoie.
Under team manager Thomas Fusenig, the team was made up of Anouk Wagner, Maya Pardee, Dajana Völz, Anne Gloden and Vinita Schlink. After the four singles, the score was 3-1 for TC Grevenmacher. Maya and Vinita had put the score at 2-0 with their respective wins (with Maya winning a strong three-set match 6-0 3-6 6-0), which Anouk extended to 3-0. Dajana lost narrowly (6-7 3-6) to a favoured opponent. Thus, one more doubles match had to be won to reach the season's goal. Anouk and Anne played a strong match in the first doubles against the first favoured doubles from Bonnevoie and won 6-4 6-1 in the end. Before that, Maya and Dajana already secured their place in National II with their doubles win in the second doubles.
We congratulate our team and the coach of the Ladies 2 on this successful end to the season, which, after the promotion to the Nationale I of the Ladies 1 and the achievement of 4th place in the Championspoule of the Ladies 3 in the Nationale III, rounds off a very pleasing performance of our ladies teams in the Interclub season 2023.
We look forward to a no less successful 2024 season!
